Family Based Ministry
Family is the most basic community, a community is made up of families their values and world views. To summarize our huge vision for Transformational Development... we want to LIVE amongst the poor, modeling good stewardship, family life, sanitization, initiative, and love for others through our life and family. As this develops we would like to see a Community Development centre built with study for many different spheres of influence, from farming to Dance, to Business. The pre-requisite for these schools would be the YWAM Discipleship Training School. Our vision is a LONG TERM vision, we expect to be in Zambia for quite a few years working along side the local people. Empowering the poor to believe they can, and give them the opportunity to do!
We want to see a world view changed… we know it’s a huge task… but we don’t know any other way to see the poverty of a nation destroyed. People need to believe, they need to be loved, they need to be given opportunities… but mostly they have to believe they can do it, that they have worth, and so much to offer.
So many Zambians are lost in the darkness of poverty, and seriously believe they could never and will never get out of that cycle.. in that comes so many things, if you believe you’ll never overcome...you’ll never give anything… hopelessness comes, it’s a deadly feeling and state to be in. That’s where AIDS to a lot of people is inevitable. It’s expected to die young, and to never get education or give any significant contribution to anything.
These are lies we want to see broken, and help bring people into truth . We will fight hopelessness… we will fight the lies….
