Vinjelu's Writing!

Meant to be

Iv been searching and asking, but getting no answers
This Man made wealth, aint a sign of good health to everyone else
Is cancerous

Everything we got some somewhere paid for it
That ice on your wrist, who knows I could have dug for it

I could have been that child who’s childhood was stolen
You could have been that virgin who’s esteem’s been broken
Who’s heart has been cracked wide open
And live with bitterness and shame unspoken
I know yall don’t wanna get me talking

About this stinking rot
Seems to outweigh the good things we got
Seem what God meant are things were not

In the name of progress we break the back of nature
Drop bombs in the name of making the world safer
We make the poor poorer but but compensate that with charity
To ease our conciounce, we give back to society

It’s irony
Some else bakes, but we eat the cake gladly
And if we share, we call that charity

Is this what it’s meant to be God
When the world judge me for the things I have no power of
And they make me carry the debts of my ancestors
I carry the seed for misery of my grandchildren…..

Is this what it’s meant?
Is it really what it’s meant to be?
All of this tragedy?
Is it really what it’s meant to be

I’v seen the eyes of a man in hunger
Felt the crippling pain of a jilted lover

I see the poor get poorer
The down trodden and defeated are still this years losers
The defenders of justice become the abusers
Bound by the accuser
What statement could be more truer?
So many deaths that every life is just another number
It aint even worth being on your news paper cover

Is this what more power and wealth can bring?
More suicidal teens and cocaine feens

More kids being used as sex slaves and work slaves
To keep cheap clothes on your sleeve and give you a pay raise

And we dare say that Jesus saves
And turn around and feed the system that keeps them chained?

Come on, who we kidding, where’s the show
Where’s the stage , who in the world is we acting for

There gotta be mo than million dollar churches, while kids are dying of hunger
More to fight for than the colors of your church seat covers

There’s a world to reach
Light to bring to the bleak night
And bring to the weak hearts
Some hope in this dark night

Is this what it’s meant?
Is it really what it’s meant to be?
All of this tragedy?
Is it really what it’s meant to be

But then God you show me
How well you know me
How you’ve been there for me
In my storms you calm me
In my winter you warm me
In my wrong you warn me
But it’s your love you show me

How you shed a million tears
For ever child that’s died of hunger this year
For every child defiled by those who were meant to care

For every orphan who’s only home is the cold night air
Who’s only bed of comfort is fear

And you don’t count deaths just as zero’s and ones
But you count then as lost daughters and sons
And you don’t just see us as a cluster of cells
But a shell in which your very image dwells

And when we hurt the least of these, it’s like we hurt you too
Woe! To those who dare hurt you
Now I know you aint responsible for the problems you’re the answer
The only real treatment for these cancers

Couse you gave us power to preserve life or take it
To comfort a heart or brake it
To kill an unborn child or let it grow
He might have been the next one to bring a smile to us all
She might have research H.I.V and found a cure
She might be the answer that you’ve been asking for

He might have been how God meant to show you love
Wait, we might be killing the next great man of God

Is this what it’s meant?
Is it really what it’s meant to be?
All of this tragedy?
Is it really what it’s meant to be

Family Based Ministry
Family is the most basic community, a community is made up of families their values and world views. To summarize our huge vision for Transformational Development... we want to LIVE amongst the poor, modeling good stewardship, family life, sanitization, initiative, and love for others through our life and family. As this develops we would like to see a Community Development centre built with study for many different spheres of influence, from farming to Dance, to Business. The pre-requisite for these schools would be the YWAM Discipleship Training School. Our vision is a LONG TERM vision, we expect to be in Zambia for quite a few years working along side the local people. Empowering the poor to believe they can, and give them the opportunity to do!
We want to see a world view changed… we know it’s a huge task… but we don’t know any other way to see the poverty of a nation destroyed. People need to believe, they need to be loved, they need to be given opportunities… but mostly they have to believe they can do it, that they have worth, and so much to offer.
So many Zambians are lost in the darkness of poverty, and seriously believe they could never and will never get out of that cycle.. in that comes so many things, if you believe you’ll never overcome...you’ll never give anything… hopelessness comes, it’s a deadly feeling and state to be in. That’s where AIDS to a lot of people is inevitable. It’s expected to die young, and to never get education or give any significant contribution to anything.
These are lies we want to see broken, and help bring people into truth . We will fight hopelessness… we will fight the lies….
