Do you know you can set up your blog to send email notices to specific people that you have posted? That way, at least some will be aware that you have begun to post again.
kath...go to your dashboard, then Settings, then email. The first section on that page has a box into which you can type up to 10 email adresses. Your post will be sent to those adresses.
The only problem with this is that for awhile folks don't realize it is a blog post...but they evenutally catch on.
Once someone begins to follow your blog, you could take them off this list and put someone else on.
