Zambia- other freaky events....

Freaky events....
while we were still in Kenya, Tanzania was haveing earth quakes, which no one though would effect anyone in Kenya. But we felt a tremor one night, I flipped out cua we were on the 5 floor of a hotel... and we really felt it. So I phoned dad in canda to ask him to look on the internet for updates... there wasn't really anything so I finally fell asleep eventually. The next day we were sitting outside eating and saw the whole hotel shake the windows looked like they were all going to brake. Scarey!

And that night it was just as bad while we were in our room! Aysh! Anyway we were leaving early the next morning. That morning they were saying on the news that people were being evacuated from hotels and apartments in the area! So I was SOOOOOO thankful to be leaving Kenya.

Now for Zambia

What a lovely counry! I feel like I didn't even leav from last time, really feels like home here. I am glad becuase it has been hard in the past month since coming.
There is ALOT of development now here in Zambia! New buisnesses that look great! the streets have been totaly cleaned of vendors and they have given those same people that were selling all there stuff on the side walk now they gave them their own little shops along one road! And the streets look CLEAN! It is sooo encouraging. Also new buildins coming up for new things happening.

Some serious stuff...
Vinjelu has always dreamed of farming the land his dad left them in norther western zambia. He loves the land and has had big plas for it. Now we have found out there are taxes owing on it which come to: $ 1985.00
This is ompossible to pay at this point. And basically has to be paid within 3 motnhs. The governement is going to take the land and sell it to someone with money and ability to start farming it now. So we aren't nreally sure what to do. There is alot of land in zambia and we can buy new land... but ya please pray for us.

Kathryn's Health
I have been feeling pretty well. Just have been having aching joints... and that is a first sign of malaria... but also goes with having flue and things like that. So I am getting tested for mallaria today. We will see what happenens. Some times when I am tired I get like this so might not be anything to worry about.
But please pray fopr me to get back to normal (as normal as possible).

We will be starting to wrok with YWAM next week. will update on that soon.

Oh wow,
those are some crazy things that have occupied your time before you got to your Zambian home. I hope everything goes well as you settle in there. How did the doctor's go? Do you guys have a phone there? If you do let me know the number and I'll give you a call. I'm praying for you guys and the farm situation and of course for the little one. Love you both!

I'm glad you are in a place that feels like home to you. Take the rest of this week to REST and be in God's presence. That will give you a measure of peace which will in turn allow you to rest without stress which will help you to keep food down.

It is a good idea to keep food with you all the time.

Keeping you always before the Father.

Love you both! (well, all 3)
